The Academy of Hair Design is dedicated to providing you with the marketable skills you need to succeed and we are nationally accredited by the National Accrediting Commission of Cosmetology Arts and Science. Cosmetology training offers a wide variety of career options. You might consider specializing in one of the following: Hair Coloring, Skin Care, Make-Up Artistry, or Product Demonstration. These are only a few areas that you can consider.

In order to succeed at any of these specialized areas, you will need to develop a wide array of knowledge, skills and competencies ranging from a strong understanding of beauty concepts to “cutting-edge” technologies. Our goal is to combine your unique talents and abilities with the skills and knowledge specific to a career in cosmetology. We maintain high standards of teaching effectiveness and focus attention to each student’s individual learning and motivational needs.

The occupational outlook for cosmetology careers is very promising. The salon industry continues to grow and continues to employ large numbers of professionals. Most of these workers are employed in beauty salons or barber shops, but they are also found in department stores, nursing homes and drug and cosmetics stores. Approximately half are self-employed.
